The coincidental occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma and leiomyoma in the esophagus is rare. A 56 year-old male referred to chest surgery department to evaluate the mediastinal mass which had found on a health examination. The diagnosis was
confirmed
esophagoscopy and surgery. We report a case of synchronous squamous cell carcinoma and leiomyoma in esophagus and reviewed references to the literature.
